The Maldives, a diverse-income small island developing state in the Indian Ocean, is located approximately 370 miles southwest of India. With a population of about 557,000 people spread across 187 inhabited islands, it is one of the most geographically dispersed nations in the world. Renowned as an island paradise, the Maldives draws tourists with its stunning beaches and serene atmosphere. While residents take immense pride in their homeland, their patriotic spirit is tempered by significant concerns about the challenges they face and uncertainties about the future. Under the blessing of the Church of God in Christ and the Republic of Maldives Ecclesiastical Jurisdictional Prelate, Bishop Terrance Perkins, Women’s Supervisor, Shoroline McCoy and her partners are diligently working to bring hope and support to 168 churches, their congregations, and the communities they serve.

Shoroline McCoy is the newly appointed Women’s Supervisor of the Republic of Maldives Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction COGIC. She stands as a beacon of faith, leadership, and compassion in this predominantly Muslim nation.
Under the leadership of Bishop Terrance Perkins, she is charged with guiding the women’s department of the jurisdiction, her role extends far beyond administrative responsibilities. She serves as a catalyst for spiritual growth, community empowerment, and charitable outreach. She will make a profound impact on the lives of Maldivian women and children.

Shoroline McCoy has created the Maldives: Redefine, Reshape and Renew brand to empower communities, uplift families, and strengthen the church body through Christ-centered service and charity, with a special focus on equipping women as catalysts for transformation.
Our Objective in Action
Shoroline McCoy, in collaboration with the nonprofit organization Circle of Giving Community Outreach, is committed to serving the spiritual and practical needs of 168 Church of God in Christ (COGIC) churches and their congregational families in the Maldives. This partnership exemplifies a shared vision of fostering faith, unity, and compassion through transformative acts of charity and service.
Through strategic initiatives and generous donations, Shoroline McCoy and Circle of Giving Community Outreach ensure that underserved churches and families receive support in areas such as food security, preventative care solutions, educational resources, spiritual enrichment and more. Together, we champion a holistic approach to ministry, emphasizing that faith is most impactful when paired with action.
This partnership embodies the scripture, “Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth” (1 John 3:18), creating a movement that bridges the gap between charity and evangelism while building stronger, more resilient communities of faith.

The I AM One Campaign focuses on spiritually transforming lives through the lens of Redefine, Reshape, and Renew. Shoroline McCoy advocates that one person can perpetuate the change reaction that promotes reconciliation to the Great I AM.

Through our Redefine, Reshape, and Renew health initiative dubbed Wellness Shield, Shoroline McCoy desires to address critical health and safety needs of our 168 churches.
